Ray and Angela just split and they’ve got one thing left to do: divvy up their prized vinyl collection. But one special album proves non-negotiable. The couple's divergent journeys dovetail with a superfan meeting popstar Johnny Orlando; a woke bro defending his playing a Bob Marley protest song during dinner; a Reverend wrestling with his spiritual affinity for The Weeknd; a widow's sexual awakening sparked by Nina Simone; and a pregnant woman experiencing the drop at an EDM festival. Thanks to these uniquely interconnected characters and the iconic songs that underscore the pivotal moments in their lives, FOR THE RECORD conspires to bring our soulmates Ray and Angela back together.
