Introducing, Selma Blair
This verité documentary is a deeply intimate and raw portrait of Selma Blair, the acclaimed yet often supporting actress, after she is diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis-- an autoimmune disease with no cure. Coming out loud with her diagnosis on social media, Selma instantly becomes a platform for disability, advocates for herself and others and makes a valiant, risky effort to slow the progression of her disease. Introducing, Selma Blair is about a woman vs. her disease, the beauty myth, the collective fear around mortality and disability, the struggle for acceptance and the search for serenity. For Selma, her starring role finally arrived— she just has to show up and fully embrace herself.
