Rachel Arthur
Rachel Arthur is Co-Founder and Chief Innovation Officer of the Current Global, a consultancy transforming how fashion brands and retailers intersect with technology. She leads a team of experts delivering innovative integrations and experiences for brands, powered by a network of top technologies and startups. She is also the editor-in-chief of its accompanying website, TheCurrent Daily, and co-host of its weekly Innovators podcast. She has a wealth of experience both as one of the industry’s most sought after specialists in the space, and as an award-winning business journalist, contributing to heavyweight titles as varied as Wired, Forbes, The Business of Fashion, The New York Times, The Guardian, The Daily Telegraph, Wallpaper and more. Rachel delivered a TEDx talk in 2016 about the role technology needs to play to enable a more environmentally sustainable fashion industry, and has regularly been on stage at other international events including SXSW, CES and Cannes Lions. Rachel previously worked with Wired Consulting on all retail innovation projects, and spent eight years of her career as senior editor of the market intelligence team at trend forecaster WGSN.
