Matthew McConaughey

Texas native MATTHEW McCONAUGHEY is one of Hollywood’s most sought-after leading men. He has won an Academy Award, appeared in over 40 feature films that have grossed over $1 billion; and has become a New York Times #1 best-selling author, producer, director, and philanthropist – all the while sticking to his Texas roots and “jk livin” philosophy.

McConaughey serves as Minister of Culture/M.O.C. for Austin FC, where he is part owner. In his role, McConaughey has lead the creative and brand vision underlying one of MLS’s most anticipated new Clubs. Long before its first match, Austin FC has seen success in becoming a part of Austin under the leadership of McConaughey and the rest of the Club’s ownership group. The Club sold out season tickets in 2020 and set an MLS record for jersey sales for an expansion Club. Austin FC is the League’s 27th Club, and will begin play in 2021.

McConaughey currently resides in Austin, Texas with his wife Camilla and their three kids.
