Simon Wu

Simon is a Director at Cathay Innovation, based in San Francisco. He is responsible for screening, evaluating, and executing potential Cathay Innovation investments, as well as post-investment monitoring. Before Cathay Innovation, Simon spent over three and a half years at VMware in the Strategy & Corporate Development team which was responsible for leading acquisitions, investments, and strategy. As a Manager, he was involved in numerous transactions focusing on enterprise software sectors such as cloud computing, cybersecurity, and mobile/end-user computing. Before joining VMware, he was at UBS in the investment banking division as part of the technology, media, and telecommunications group. During his time at UBS, Simon advised on equity and debt capital raises, corporate strategy, and M&A for companies in the technology sector.
