Lauren Mcgoodwin
Lauren is Career Contessa’s CEO, #1 power move advocate, and has a life mission to help women build successful and fulfilling careers on their terms. Lauren launched Career Contessa in 2013 out of her master’s thesis project to close the gap in career development resources for women. With women accounting for more than 50% of the workforce and the workforce being less defined than ever before, it seemed crazy (and outdated) that a resource for us didn't exist. Career Contessa now helps more than 1 million women each year with their careers through content, online learning courses, and job listings.
Formerly, Lauren was a Recruiter for Hulu focused on hiring, employer branding, and program management. She has a Bachelor's in Education from Univerity of Oregon and a Master’s in Communication Management from USC where she wrote her thesis on millennial women and career resources.
Lauren has spoken at TED Women, Yale, and Creative Artist Agency (CAA), and appeared on Cheddar TV.
