Charlie Ackerman is senior vice president of Human Resources for Bosch in North America. In this assignment, Ackerman focuses on preparing, shaping and managing the people strategies to achieve Bosch North America’s growth plans. He is responsible for shaping and managing the employee strategies for more than 35,000 Bosch employees and more than 100 facilities in North America with a specific focus on executive and talent development, diversity and inclusion, organizational development, change management, positive associate relations, lean (CIP) principles and more. Since joining Bosch in 1995, Ackerman has held a number of assignments in the human resources function, including leadership positions in Charleston, South Carolina, and Stuttgart, Germany. His most recent position, beginning in 2005, was as vice president of human resources, North America for Bosch’s powertrain business. Ackerman serves on Bosch’s global Human Resources Council and is a board member of Bosch in Canada.
