Jenessa describes herself as a perpetual student of global human behavior, anthropology, and applied psychology. A former adjunct professor in Visual Literacy at Emerson College and current Strategy Director, both in Boston, now living in Tokyo. Her career highlights helping the makeup and skincare brand Shiseido transform to meet younger, digital-first customers, motivating Americans learn to curb their food waste with the a public service campaign for the Ad Council and launching the TOMs eyewear brand to help millions of people regain their sight, designing the CVS retail & pharmacy store loyalty integration in the customer digital experience, helping parents teach their children digital literacy with the launch of Lego’s social network, Lego Life and helping baby boomers discover the gym for the first time with SilverSneakers—a fitness program for older adults. She’s had the honor of speaking or mentoring at several SXSW and industry events as well as judging strategy award shows and frequently is published in industry press. Jenessa is also a fan of global travel & hiking, French Modernist art, aerial silks, and ice hockey. Her recent client experience includes: Shiseido, Viacom, GM, Adidas, Pandora (jewelry), SilverSneakers (Healthways / Tivity), Lego, ADP, Flexport, Lubrizol, MD Anderson (hospital), BOSS coffee.
