Kateau James is a managing director at Deloitte and serves as the leader of the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO).
James works closely with the Global and US CIO on the development and execution of the executive agenda for the US Information Technology Services (ITS) CIO Leadership Team, US Technology Governance Board (TGB), Global Technology Executive (GTE), and Global CIO Council (CIOC). In her role, she is also a member of these organizations. Additionally, James works with leadership to develop and execute technology priorities and oversees CIO eminence activities.
She joined Deloitte in 2018 from Ernst & Young, where she served as a Global IT Service Delivery Leader. James has more than 20 years of experience with strategic technology planning, global organizational management, and full life-cycle software development.
James holds an MBA in Finance from Auburn University, a BS in Business Information Systems from Albany State University, a CIO certification from the Technology Association of Georgia, and a Master's Certification in IT Project Management from George Washington University. She is pursuing her doctorate in Business Administration at Hampton University.
She currently serves as a board member and volunteer for the Georgia Future Business Leaders of America and National Black Arts Festival.
