Alexandra Reichek
Alex Reichek is an expert in marketing and communications for food, beverage, and lifestyle hospitality businesses. She transforms brands, concepts, and products by amplifying their mission and strategically sharing what makes them stand out above competitors through traditional PR, editorial, partnerships, and social media.
Alex moved to New York City in 2009 to launch her hospitality career after graduating from the University of Texas at Austin. Working at SHADOW PR and The Door, she was in charge of traditional media relations, lead campaigns for new restaurant openings, secured high-level profiles on chefs, personalities and CPG products, discovered trends, and took charge on social media strategy and influencer marketing at the very beginning.
After 8 years in NYC working with over 30 restaurants and hotel properties, Alex moved back to Austin to be award-winning, McGuire Moorman Hospitality's first Communications Director where she oversaw PR, social media, and partnerships for all 8 restaurants and the boutique By George. In 2018, Alex started her own consulting company where she has worked with restaurants such as Le Politique, Il Brutto, Eberly, ARRIVE East Austin hotel and restaurant Vixen’s Wedding which just won a spot on Texas Monthly’s Best New Restaurant list, Austin's first Equinox luxury club on South Congress, Richard's Rainwater, Thai Fresh, Picnik, and more.
Alex also has her own restaurant and travel blog called Chekmark Eats and instagram which has been featured on Huffington Post for "Best NY Food Blog," on New York Live Taxi TV, Business Insider, Forbes, Spectrum News, and Tribeza magazine.
