Mandy Birch

Mandy Birch ​is Senior Vice President, Engineering Strategy at Rigetti Computing—an integrated systems company building quantum computers and the superconducting quantum processors that power them. She leads Rigetti’s government solutions team and manages the company’s cross-functional technical program to deliver full-stack quantum computing capability.

Prior to joining Rigetti, Mandy enjoyed many roles in government—engineer, executive, diplomat, operations director, and global strategist. Through her military service, she developed a passion for building teams that unlock the potential of disruptive ideas. Her focus is leveraging breakthrough technologies and strategic partnerships to empower people and communities around the globe to thrive.

Mandy holds an MS in Mechanical Engineering from MIT, an MA in International Relations from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, and is a distinguished graduate of the US Air Force Academy. She is also a senior officer, engineer, and global strategist in the Air Force Reserve.
