Sachiko Nakajima

From Tokyo, Japan. A jazz pianist, mathematician, STEAM educator, media artist. Started steAm, Inc. in 2017 (CEO), and STEAM Sports Laboratory, Inc. in 2019 (Director). One of the thematic project producers at World Expo 2025, Osaka, Kansai, Japan, under the theme “Invigorating Lives (play /learn /art /sports)” and one of the STEM Girls Ambassadors, appointed by Gender Equality Bureau Cabinet Office at Japan. M.P.S. at New York University Tisch School of the Arts, ITP: Interactive Telecommunications Program. B.S. in Mathematics in the University of Tokyo. She won the gold medal at the International Mathematical Olympiad in 1996 and the silver in 1997. Now she is researching at Meiji Univ. MIMS, Tokyo Univ. of Science, and a specially-appointed prof. at Shikoku Univ. She is now vigorously promoting creative STEAM learnings in Japan and worldwide, sometimes with Ministry of Economy (“Learning Innovation” projects) and Ministry of Education. … and a mother of 15 years old girl!
