Meira Blaustein

Co-Founder/Exec Dir/Head Programmer
Woodstock Film Festival

A filmmaker by training, Meira co-founded the Woodstock Film Festival (WFF), a 501c3 organization, back in 2000, in order to provide a platform for films that are “fiercely independent” and socially relevant. She has been acting as WFF's executive and artistic director ever since its inception. As a passionate supporter of independent filmmakers, and the creator of many WFF initiatives, Meira facilitated showcasing the talent and accomplishments of countless creatives in film and media, and helped develop and nurture the growth of many projects and careers. Most recently some of the new WFF initiatives that she created and nurtured are its 4-week spring Filmmakers Residency / Incubator, and its 3-week Summer Youth Film Lab which in 2022 will expand into the academic year.

Aside from running the Woodstock Film Festival, Meira has been consulting on various film projects, documentaries and narratives alike. As such she had the opportunity to assist in all areas of production, from script development and packaging, to production, editing, marketing and sales.

Meira is a graduate of the School of Visual Arts in NYC with prior studies at the Art Institute in San Francisco and the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.
