Caryl Atwood is the Senior Vice President of Commercial Business for Sony Music Nashville’s labels Group.

Atwood is based in Nashville and oversees all aspects of sales and streaming for the Sony Music Nashville labels. In her role, she spearheads Sony Music Nashville’s initiatives in sales, streaming, and expanding non-traditional initiatives, as well as manages its relationships with digital music providers and retail accounts.

Sony Music Nashville’s labels include Arista Nashville, RCA Records Nashville and Columbia Nashville which encompass the top names in country music including: Kane Brown, Luke Combs, Miranda Lambert, Maren Morris, Brad Paisley, Chris Young and more.
Prior to her 20 years with Sony Music, Atwood was employed by PolyGram Distribution and Island Records.

Atwood’s passion for the entertainment business led her to complete a Bachelor’s of Artist in English degree at DePaul University and pursue a Master in Arts, Entertainment, and Media Management at Columbia College. In her last year of Graduate school, Atwood served as President of Columbia’s student run record label AAEMP overseeing all aspects of an album release from A&R to airplay and sales.

Atwood serves on the Board of the Tennessee Chapter of Easter Seals and is a member of the Country Music Association, and the Academy of Country Music. She is a 2014 honoree of Music Row’s Rising Women on the Row and a 2017 honoree of the Nashville Business Journal’s Women in Music City Awards.

In her spare time, Atwood enjoys time with her husband Nick an Officer in the U.S. Army and his two sons. Together, they spend time on their boat, are diehard Chicago Cubs and Nashville Predators fans, and raise their rescue dogs Penny and Sydney.
