Deb combines his global insurance and financial services expertise with an entrepreneurial mindset and the talents of a creative team of professionals to envision the future for Genworth’s U.S. Life Insurance business. His philosophy that companies can do well as they do good drives his leadership approach to business strategy and new ventures, and his pursuit of solutions to help individuals embrace aging and have more choices to help them age on their own terms.

Deb’s career path with Genworth, and previously GE Financial Assurance and GE Capital, includes leadership for business development, product management, audit and risk management. Making the most of numerous learning opportunities throughout his career, Deb turned around GE’s commercial finance business in India, developed an independent audit function for Genworth in the United States, and led the effort to bring CareScout into the Genworth family of businesses.

Like so many people today, Deb is a multi-generational caregiver, sharing the workload with his wife as they care for their two young children and his mother. Being oceans apart from his mother in India offers additional complexities and fuels Deb’s passion to understand the caregiving tradeoffs and challenges all families face. His personal experience pushes him to find creative solutions for those who need care as they age – because everyone needs a trusted ally on their journey.
