Upon graduation, she returned to her hometown Houston, TX to pursue her first position in Higher Education at the University of Houston. Her positions in Marketing in Housing and Student Life at UH sparked her interest in mentoring college students and gave her the opportunity to delve into a departmental Diversity & Inclusion work group. This tremendously amplified her passion for increasing diversity, equity, & inclusion in university spaces. After obtaining her MBA from Our Lady of the Lake University in 2016 she rejoined her alma mater, The University of Oklahoma, as an Admissions Counselor recruiting in the Houston and Southeastern United States region. This position has allowed her give back to the community that had such a tremendous effect on her trajectory. Outside of her higher education career, she enjoys being a creative of all things including DIY projects, decor creation and producing of events. When she's not working or focusing on a project, she enjoys shopping and spending time with her family and friends.
