Yassir Eddebbar
Yassir Eddebbar is a postdoctoral scholar at the Center for Climate Change Impacts and Adaptation at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography, UC San Diego. Yassir received his PhD in Oceanography at Scripps working in the Scripps Carbon Dioxide Research Group, home of the Keeling Curve. His research is currently focused on improving our understanding of how changes in climate and ocean circulation impact marine ecosystems habitats at regional scales, with a particular focus on equatorial dynamics and the Oxygen Minimum Zones. Yassir also lectures at Scripps on climate-related ocean and atmospheric topics and frequently engages policy makers, teachers, and the general public on oceans and climate issues.
