Chad Modad is a technology executive with an entrepreneurial spirit and long-time fan of all things science and technology. As a self-taught C++ programmer, Chad got hooked on software engineering as a 15-year-old intern at NASA working on VR simulations for astronauts. Since then Chad has worked at start-ups, small companies, and Fortune 100 companies in a diverse set of industries including oil & gas, computer hardware, residential and commercial automation, telecommunications, and defense.
Today Chad wears many hats. He is the Chief Technology Officer from Accenture’s Houston Innovation Hub, helping large companies transform their businesses through the Digital Technologies, and is currently the XR Champion for Accenture’s North America Extended Reality (XR) Practice in the Resources industry vertical. Chad also heads up the Houston Chapter of the VR/AR Association which is focused on bringing VR/AR technologies to enterprise.
Chad holds a Computer Science degree from the University of Houston and an MBA from Rice University. He has been happily married to his wife Jessica for 20 years and is actively engaged in the lives of his 19yr old son and 14yr old daughter. In his spare time Chad is an active member and contributor to many technology Meetups in Houston, volunteers in his community, serves on the Technology Advisory Board at the Houston Zoo, and is an avid Crossfit athlete and coach.
