Stein Olav Henrichsen (b. 1954) has been Director of the Munch Museum in Oslo since 2010, when he was recruited to realise the City of Oslo’s visions for a new organisation based on the collections of the Munch Museum and the Stenersen Museum, to be housed in a new building. After a long career as a professional musician, Stein acquired wide national and international experience of artistic and administrative management within the field of art and culture. Before joining the Munch Museum Stein was Director of the Bergen National Opera, and he has for several years held central positions within the field of Norwegian contemporary music and has been a member of several public committees.
