CVS Health recognizes the strong connection between housing and health. Providing affordable housing options to people who are facing significant challenges can be their first step on a path to better health.
As Head of Impact Investment Strategy, Ms. Savage is responsible for leading the strategy across all CVS Health & Aetna businesses in continuing to build on the over $1 billion of affordable housing and community investments made by Aetna, a CVS Health Company in the past 20 years. She is focused on cultivating the right relationships with community organizations across the country to combine strategic investments in housing with services to address the specific needs of our communities.
In 2019, Ms. Savage’s efforts led to $67M in affordable housing investments across the country providing support to underserved populations. These investments will help create or rehabilitate more than 2,200 affordable homes with supportive services for individuals and families across 24 cities in six states and include units reserved for seniors and veterans as well as over 300 for those in need of Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH). Ms. Savage’s team works with community organizations to provide access to services such as independent living skills, cooking and nutrition, financial literacy, health information classes, education and employment, resident outreach and engagement, client centered treatment plans and social support.
Prior to her current role, Ms. Savage served as the Western Region Head of Real Estate Investments and Co-Manager of the Affordable Housing Portfolio for Aetna.
Ms. Savage began her career as a Certified Public Accountant at Deloitte after earning her B.S. in Accounting at the University of Connecticut.
