Alvin Shaffer

With 20 years of relevant industry and leadership experience within the energy sector, Alvin Shaffer, Vice President of Technology Business Efficiency, leads Equinor’s international capabilities in the areas of digitalization, Business IT, data quality and management, portfolio prioritization and continuous improvement within the Development and Production International business.

Alvin joined Equinor in 2008 as a US Offshore senior pipeline engineer and was subsequently appointed to lead the Technology Projects and Drilling team based in Houston, supporting Equinor’s global business activities. Since then, he has held several senior leadership roles within Finance and Control, Asset Management for both Onshore and Offshore assets, and offshore field development.,

Prior to joining Equinor, he spent eight years at ExxonMobil, Pipeline Company where he worked as a control and automation engineer, supported pipeline operations and executed risk and integrity programs.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Louisiana Tech University.
