Matt Sparks

Matt Sparks is an entrepreneur, inventor, and writer. He grew up in rural Iowa, working in his family’s state park management and video arcade businesses. He soon began fixing boat engines, programming video games, and starting his own kid-sized businesses. To this day, he’s focused on building his various ventures, projects, and inventions. Over his career, he’s co-founded businesses in cleantech, finance, sustainable housing, supplements, athletic equipment & apparel, software, and an eco-themed immersive theater haunted house. In addition, Sparks writes a biweekly column in Learning Solutions Magazine on VR/AR, serious games, and eLearning and a blog on a range of topics. He’s written several books as well. He has an MBA in Entrepreneurship from Acton School of Business and a BA in Literature from Lehigh University.

When he’s not rock climbing around Austin, Texas, he’s exploring how new technologies are changing how we think, learn, and move.
