Kelly Gaither
Kelly Gaither As the Director of Health Analytics at the Texas Advanced Computing Center (TACC) and an associate professor in the Department of Women's Health at the Dell Medical School at the University of Texas at Austin, Kelly Gaither explores visual analytics of large, heterogeneous health-related data. She is also the interim director of education and outreach for TACC. Gaither's work has attracted grant support from a variety of entities including the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Microsoft Corp., and the National Science Foundation. She publishes extensively in such journals as IEEE Transactions on Visualization and Computer Graphics, Computing in Science & Engineering, and Transactions on Visualization and Computer Graphics, and she has co-authored textbook chapters. Her awards and honors include the IEEE Service Award for chairing IEEE Visualization, as well as the Outstanding Staff Researcher Award at Mississippi State University. Gaither earned her bachelor's and master's degrees in computer sciences from Texas A&M University, and her Ph.D. in computational engineering from Mississippi State University.
