Ned Desmond is the COO at TechCrunch, where he oversees the editorial, product, event and business teams. TechCrunch is a Verizon Media company. Prior to TechCrunch, Ned worked in a variety of media roles, including president of Time Inc.'s digital businesses and Time magazine's bureau chief in Tokyo and New Delhi. His first role in tech was at Infoseek, one of the first search engine companies in Silicon Valley, where he spun out Infoseek Japan. A resident of Menlo Park in California, Boston is his first home and Cape Cod his favorite place on earth.
