Dawn Cole spent the first fourteen years of her career at IBM, starting as a Systems Engineer. She progressed to the management of a sales and systems engineering unit before leaving IBM to work at smaller technology companies. She landed at a small Dutch encryption firm, serving as VP Sales, Marketing and Product Management, and later General Manager for the Americas. When that company was acquired by McAfee, she launched Kerberos International as a one-person consulting firm helping European and Middle Eastern companies adapt their technology and market it in the US.
In 2011, Dawn decided to join one of her clients, an NGO in Afghanistan, to work on a US AID contract to reopen schools in Kandahar Province. It was during that mission in Kandahar that she met some Special Operators who needed a radio decoy platform. Dawn returned to the US and leveraged that warfighter requirement into her first government contract, building radio platforms at a reasonable price to meet the mission. Dawn has leveraged that initial success, growing Kerberos into a vibrant, technology provider offering multiple ISR platforms to the US military and other customers. For the past two years, her company has been named to both the INC 5000 Fastest Growing Small Businesses in the US and the Washington Technology Fast 50. She takes pride in delivering innovative technology and passionately works to support our peacekeepers and warfighters alike
