Timothy Sullivan

Timothy Sullivan is a Sake Samurai, Brand Ambassador and Sake Educator with a passion for sharing his love of sake with the world. After discovering sake in 2005, Timothy founded America's first English language sake blog and education website: UrbanSake.com. Within two years, he received the prestigious Sake Samurai award from the Japan Sake Brewer's Association for his work and dedication to promoting sake outside of Japan. In 2010, Timothy left a successful career in E-commerce to pursue his passion for sake full time and he became a consultant for the sake industry and an educator for the Sake School of America. In 2016, Timothy was the first person ever to receive a Cultural Activities Visa from the Japanese Government to study the art of sake brewing and he lived and worked for 12 months at the Hakkaisan sake Brewery in Niigata. Since then, Timothy has become the Global Brand Ambassador for Hakkaisan and he continues to teach and lecture about sake around the world.
