Global President, Music
Entertainment One

As eOne’s Global President, Music, Chris Taylor oversees eOne’s quickly expanding recordings, management, publishing, and live businesses.

Taylor leads a talented team of over 300 in 14 offices around the globe, making eOne one of the largest independent music companies in the world. The award-winning music group delivered $83.9m USD in revenue last year.

eOne’s recording group is the official home for alternative/roots group, The Lumineers (via eOne-owned Dualtone Music Group); Latin platinum sellers Bryant Myers; GRAMMY-winning metal group High on Fire; urban acts, RZA, The Game, K. Michelle and Brandy; as, well as the 2nd largest gospel music label in the world. The synch team issued over 500 synch licenses in 2019.

On the management side, he oversees a roster that includes 2 billion streamer Jax Jones; arena rockers Arkells; indie stars Tegan & Sara and Lights, BBC radio host/DJ, the Black Madonna; and GRAMMY winner Riton. The management clients have a social reach north of 2 million with impression levels nearing the billions.

The publishing group has new joint ventures with both Grammy-winning writers/producers The Stereotypes (Cardi B & Bruno Mars’ Top 5 hit “Please Me” eOne’s catalogue) and Aaron Pearce. eOne has been making a big push into the music publishing world, most notably by securing rights to the Chuck Berry catalog.

The live division produced and managed one of the top grossing tours in North America in 2018, with PJ Masks Live! Save The Day. eOne’s is also producing the Baby Shark Live tour. The tour hits 120 North American cities through a 9-month tour. The show will then head to the UK and Australia in the back half of 2020 – before returning to the U.S. and Canada for a 2nd run in early 2021.

In April 2019, Taylor directed the acquisition of Audio Network Limited, one of the world’s largest independent creators and publishers of original high-quality music, for approximately US $215 million. Audio Network brought trusted relationships with more than 1000 composers, singer-songwriters and emerging commercial artists to eOne.

Prior to joining eOne in 2016, Taylor was Canada’s most successful music attorneys representing Drake, Nelly Furtado, Avril Lavigne and many others. In 2004, he started independent music company Last Gang to launch the careers of Metric, Death From Above 1979 and Crystal Castles. Taylor brought Last Gang to eOne with his joining.
