Alicia Roth Weigel is a Forbes and New York Times published change agent working to improve the political and social landscape for marginalized populations through her consulting firm Intrepida Strategy. She serves on the City of Austin's Human Rights Commission, as Secretary of the Travis County Democratic Party's youth branch and as a Community Health Champion for Central Health. Through prior work as Policy and Advocacy Director for Deeds Not Words and her current role as an appointed city official, Alicia has contributed to various state-level laws and city ordinances against sexual assault and human trafficking, to help pass paid sick leave and comprehensive abortion funding, to decriminalize and assist in alleviating homelessness, and more. Alicia also advises interACT, which employs legal and media strategies to advocate for the human rights of children born with intersex traits like her. Alicia is committed to fostering body autonomy and culturally competent healthcare for all.
