Katie Marschner
My career in Artist & Tour Management started like many others, falling in love with a band and having a strong desire to work in the music industry. It has been 6 years since I began my career and I have gone from being an unpaid merch hand to being The Bright Light Social Hour’s Manager, Tour Manager, and Lighting Director. I have learned nearly everything I know through direct experience tour managing performances at major festivals such as Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits, and Corona Capital, as well as extensive touring throughout North America and Canada. I have expanded my skills by managing the band through major sync deals such as a Nintendo Switch commercial, MTV’s Teen Wolf, the Terrence Maverick film “Song to Song,” and composing the original theme song for Amazon’s Sneaky Pete for which we have received two BMI TV & Film awards. In addition to Licensing and sync I have managed the band through 3 LP releases and one EP release. Outside of artist & tour management I have recently accepted a position as an adjunct professor at The Academy of Contemporary Music at The University of Central Oklahoma teaching in their music business department.
