Eleanor Lackman is a Partner at Mitchell Silberberg & Knupp LLP, where she focuses on copyright and trademark litigation, IP licensing, and brand protection. With a focus in the media, entertainment, sports, and technology industries, she splits her time between the firm’s New York and Los Angeles offices. A music aficionado and former radio and club DJ, Eleanor combined her passion for music and law by starting in copyright law upon graduation from Fordham Law School in 2003. Since then, Eleanor has practiced IP law at major international law firms and spent eight years as a partner in a leading entertainment law boutique before joining MSK in 2019. During her years of practice, she has won closely watched copyright and trademark cases as lead counsel, written amicus briefs to the U.S. Supreme Court, and overseen major rebranding projects. Eleanor’s current client roster includes household names in music, sports, e-commerce, social media, digital publishing, games, and fashion.
