Nina Carter

Nina Carter is a native of Athens,Georgia and graduate of the UGA Music Business program. Her career kicked off in the music festival circuit traveling the country, recruiting and managing volunteers for Bonnaroo, Hangout, and Electric Forest, to name a few. This experience led her to Austin, TX where she worked for the global music event, SXSW, coordinating conference panels and overseeing brand activations. Nina is now Creative Director at the leading Performing Rights Organization, BMI. Her role consists of identifying emerging songwriters and artists like Jade Bird, Susto, Liz Cooper & The Stampede and Khruangbin; creating performance opportunities for BMI affiliates and aligning sponsors through BMI's Events and Partnerships team. Nina is an active advocate for spreading awareness about noise induced hearing loss to the music community.
