Josh Scarratt
Josh Scarratt is the founder of Shake PR, an independent promotions company based in London specialising in UK national radio promo, Beats 1 and Apple Music playlisting. Josh started out as a radio plugger at Rocket PR in 2012 whilst studying the BA Hons Commercial Music course at the University of Westminster. At Rocket, Josh worked with such artists as Aphex Twin, Oneohtrix Point Never as well as debut releases from the likes of Fat White Family (“Touch The Leather” single and ‘Champagne Holocaust’ album) and Sleaford Mods; a career highlight whilst fronting the Sleaford Mods campaign was booking them on to Later…With Jools Holland. In Spring of 2016 at the age of 26, Josh set-up Shake PR with the vision of having a roster that was far from genre-specific, with the aim of curating campaigns for both brand new and established artists. With this approach and his established relationships across the industry, Josh quickly built up a roster that was receiving promotion across BBC Radio 1, 2, 3, 4 and 6, as well commercial stations Radio X and Absolute Radio, plus support on Beats 1 and Apple Music. Through his professional career, Josh takes weekly meetings with radio presenters and producers, as well as record labels and is a regular attendee at The Great Escape, Primavera and other festivals across the UK and Europe.
