With Blue Artichoke Films (Amsterdam), we create award-winning erotic fiction films and documentaries that illuminate the riveting, intimate, and sometimes delightfully awkward side of sex. They screen at film festivals, art exhibits, and cinemas throughout America, Europe, Japan, and South America, and their unique realism has led to them being featured at conferences in diverse fields ranging from sexology to feminism to documentary. Our work has been covered in Vice, BBC, Broadly, Buzzfeed, and Playboy. We want to show that sex is a giant, beautiful, strange, messy, fascinating, fun and thrilling force of nature. It doesn’t usually look that way in movies. By finding creative ways to show the true thrill of good sex, we want to give people the confidence to trust their own desires and to know that not only is nothing wrong with our sexual pleasure, it’s a force for unique self-expression and for connection with the rest of humanity.
