Jeffrey Johns
Jeff's first live music experience was at the GWR Festival in 1994, just outside of Newport when he was 11 years old. A year later, he went to Ashton Court Community Festival in Bristol, Skunk Anansie headlined and, in his own words, it was one of the key performances from the festival that changed things for Jeff.
Drawn in by the flourishing music scene in the City, Jeff moved to Bristol in 2002 and has become a well-recognised and well-loved figure on the live music scene. He has developed this reputation by being a prolific gig-goer, at shows almost every night of the week for over 10 years. In addition to this Jeff is known for his transparency about his learning disabilities and anxiety, and how he uses the live music scene as a way of pushing himself out of his comfort zone. Jeff is now mentoring others with similar experiences, and encouraging them to embrace the music scene to feel more confident.
