Passion for food is what Andy Baraghani’s parents gifted him when they emigrated from Iran to California. While Andy didn't speak for the first three years of his life, he eventually found comfort in cooking. There he soaked in his family's food traditions and constantly watched his superhero Julia Childs. With various restaurant experience on his resume, Andy worked at Saveur magazine before joining the Bon Appétit team. Andy has garnered a massive audience all over the world who look up to him for his refreshingly herb-forward recipes, and with his recently released show Andy Explores. Andy is fluent in Farsi, proud to be gay, and currently resides in New York City where in his spare time, he loves to garden.
