Imraan Farukhi
Imraan "Immy" Farukhi is solo-practicing entertainment and IP attorney for the music, film, television, advertising, sports, and new media industries. He previously held positions in the entertainment department of Fox Rothschild LLP and with prominent boutique entertainment law firms in New York. He has worked with Grammy-nominated musicians, and legal teams for Academy Award-winning film productions. His clients include film/TV production companies, advertising productions, screenwriters, actors, music artists, music producers, models, and technology start-ups. Imraan is also an Assistant Professor at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University, where he teaches entertainment law to Television-Radio-Film students and students in the Bandier music business program. He began his career in the entertainment industry as a musician. He earned his B.A. (cum laude) from Villanova University, and his J.D. (cum laude) from Pace University School of Law. He is admitted to practice in New York.
