Andrea Thomaz

I specialize in human-robot interaction, developing social robot assistants like "Moxi" at Diligent Robotics. Our focus is on healthcare automation, aiming to ease nurses' workload by handling non-patient tasks, allowing more time for patient care. Additionally, I'm a Robotics Professor at UT Austin, leading the Socially Intelligent Machines Lab, with prior experience at Georgia Tech. My goal is to create a world where robots are helpful teammates, freeing humans for tasks they excel at and enjoy.
