Laura Lucchini

Laura Lucchini is an award-winning journalist and media executive. Since 2018 she has been Head of News at Ruptly, which she joined in 2015.

Previously Laura worked as a correspondent both in Italy and in Germany for several international newspapers such as El Pais, La Nación, L'Unità and Linkiesta. Lucchini also contributed as an invited expert to the German broadcaster Deutsche Welle. In 2014 she won the State Street Journalism Prize for Online Reporting.

In 2018 Laura co-founded the Ruptly Verification Unit, which aims to provide trusted and verified content to Ruptly's clients while pushing for higher accuracy standards in the industry as a whole.

Laura studied Communication Science at the University of Milan (Universita Statale di Milano), and she has a Master Degree in Journalism at the Universidad Torcuato di Tella (Buenos Aires, Argentina).
