Jen Psaki is an on-air political commentator and opinion writer for CNN and the Vice President for Strategy and Communications at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. She is a frequent guest on CNN primetime programming providing analysis on the 2020 presidential primary, and an experienced take on the state of policymaking and politics in Washington and around the country.
Previously, Jen served as the White House Communications Director advising President Obama on communications strategy for issues ranging from domestic policy, to foreign policy to politics. She led the effort to modernize the White House and Administration’s approach to communications with a greater focus on non-traditional and digital media.
Prior to the White House, she was the State Department Spokesperson conducting a daily briefing with members of the domestic and international media and serving as primary strategic communications advisor to Secretary John Kerry.
