Yira Vilaro
Yira Vilaro is director of development at MACRO. A bilingual Puerto Rican raised in Mexico, she graduated from Northwestern University’s Film Program before her passion for film brought her to LA. Before MACRO, she worked in development and production at Imagine Entertainment. With over nine years of entertainment experience, Yira started her career at Vendome Pictures before moving over to talent agency WME. From there, she transitioned over to powerhouse Jerry Bruckheimer Films, where she worked for the President of Production for nearly three years, before making her move to Imagine. She also worked as a Stage Manager before switching over to creative development. She has been involved with several amazing films including Sorry to Bother You, Fences, Mudbound, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, Source Code, Lowriders and American Made.
