Ryan Darnell
Ryan is the Founding Partner of Max Ventures. He is a seasoned operator and investor with a proven track record of over 10 years. Prior to Founding Max Ventures, he co-founded Basset Investment Group with Max Stenbeck. Ryan ran the entire operation from sourcing to working directly with portfolio company CEOs post investment.
Before co-founding Basset, Ryan was a Principal at Modern Holdings, a small market private equity firm in Summit, NJ. Prior to Modern Holdings, Ryan was at FLO Thinkery - an incubator and design firm.
Ryan is a Mentor at Venture for America and iMentor in New York City. He previously served on the board of Phoenix Club – one of the biggest non-profit fundraising arms for the Boys and Girls Club. Ryan holds a MBA from Vanderbilt University where he graduated with honors, and an undergraduate degree from Middle Tennessee where he played Division I college baseball.
