Wale Oyejide
Walé Oyéjidé, Esq. is a writer, designer, speaker, filmmaker, musician and lawyer that combats bias with creative storytelling. As the founder of the brand Ikiré Jones, he employs fashion design as a vehicle to celebrate the perspectives of marginalized populations.
Mr. Oyéjidé is a TED Fellow, an Open Society Foundations Moving Walls Fellow. And a National Geographic Explorer. His work has exhibited widely, and has been seen in motion pictures like "Black Panther" (and others). He is the co-director, executive producer and writer of “After Migration: Calabria” (2020), a short film which subverts the commonly acceptive narrative of migrants as perpetual victims.
