Nicky has been working in audio content and innovation since 2000, originally producing music radio shows documentaries and later exec producing the innovative binaural audio game Papa Sangre II. In 2017 she began producing voice experiences on Amazon Alexa creating the interactive drama, the Inspection Chamber and an interactive documentary called Hidden Cities Berlin for the Google Assistant. In 2018 she joined BBC R&D as part of the BBC's push into voice first content. Since joining the BBC, Nicky has helped foster a group of interactive audio enthusiasts who are exploring how voice activation and now wearable tech may change how audiences will listen and watch content of the future. She believes in content first approach to research, prototyping new experiences, extensive user research and then openly sharing the results to a global audience.
She makes a fortnightly podcast on books called Backlisted @backlistedpod
