Sarah Beth Shapiro first attended SXSW in 2014 for the world premiere of FAULTS. Based in Los Angeles, Sarah Beth worked in the cutting rooms of LONE SURVIVOR and MAD MEN before establishing herself as a feature editor. Other editing credits include THE DEVIL’S CANDY, CARTER AND JUNE, and FLOWER, starring Zoey Duetch, Adam Scott, and Kathryn Hahn. THE ART OF SELF-DEFENSE, starring Jesse Eisenberg, Alessandro Nivola, and Imogen Poots was her second collaboration with writer/director Riley Stearns and brought her back to SXSW in 2019.
Sarah Beth received her MFA in film production at Florida State University. She has lent her voice to many of the productions she has worked on, including MAD MEN, FLOWER, and THE ART OF SELF-DEFENSE. She is currently working on the directorial debut of best-selling writer Kelly Oxford, a semi-autiobiographical dramedy starring Jessica Garden, Marcia Gay Harden, Michael McKean, Henry Winkler, Rosa Salazar, and Mary J. Blige.
