With Blue Artichoke Films (Amsterdam), Jennifer Lyon Bell creates award-winning erotic fiction films and documentaries that illuminate the riveting, intimate, and sometimes delightfully awkward side of sex. They screen at film festivals, art exhibits, and cinemas throughout America, Europe, Japan, and South America, and their unique realism has led to them being featured at conferences in diverse fields ranging from sexology to feminism to documentary. Her work has been covered in Vice, BBC, Broadly, Buzzfeed, and Playboy. In addition to filmmaking, Jennifer curates erotic film exhibitions for museums and film festivals in New York, Berlin, San Francisco, and more. She teaches Erotic Cinema at the national Dutch Film Academy, leads a self-empowering workshop “From Fantasy To Film: Design Your Own Erotic Film, and gave the keynote at the inaugural Sex And The Cinema film studies conference (University of Kent). She writes for the academic journal Film Studies and various art magazines.
