Shoba Purushothaman

Shoba Purushothaman is an entrepreneur on her third global start-up, Hardskills, a digital platform that enables enterprises to train workforces at scale. Just six months after launch, Hardskills’ platform is now used in 18 countries including Sweden, Norway, Poland, the U.S. and India. Shoba has 20 years of business and entrepreneurial experience in the digital economy. She moved to Berlin in 2016 and established Hardskills’ operations from inception to successful launch despite never having previously lived or worked there. Her first start-up was based out of London, and the second out of New York City. Germany is the 7th country she has lived and worked in. Shoba began her career as a business journalist (Wall Street Journal) and then co-founded, turned profitable and sold two start-ups operating at the intersection of media & marketing.
