Christine Morris
Christine Morris is Chief Resilience Officer for the City of Norfolk. Morris began working for the City in 2013 as assistant to the City Manager. Now as CRO, she led the creation of Norfolk's first resilience strategy, which uses the management of water—critical in coastal city in a time of climate change—to expand economic opportunity, deconcentrate areas of poverty, and deliver inclusive economic growth to all of its 245,000 residents. Under her leadership, the Office of Resilience has secured over $140M in Federal funds to implement projects—projects incorporating smart city technology to increase the City’s ability to make decisions using real-time information about conditions on the ground. Prior to working for Norfolk, she served as Vice President of Initiatives for the Hampton Roads Community Foundation, which is the region’s premier provider of philanthropic services.
