Don Pitts

Don is the founder of Sound Music Cities based in Austin Texas. Don served as the head of the City of Austin's Economic Development Department’s Music & Entertainment Division, where he led innovative programs increasing the prosperity for all sectors of the commercial music industry. He also developed and implemented policy that reduced sound complaints by over 70%. With over 25 years in the music industry and a decade working within city government he has become a thought-leader in the music city theory and development.
