Stephanie Riggs began creating interactive virtual worlds in the mid-90s. Her creations cross traditional storytelling mediums as a filmmaker and Disney Imagineer as well as experiential designs with immersive technology. With the recent advent of consumer-viable VR technology, she released the first feature film ever released on the Oculus Rift DK2, was invited to film President Barack Obama's historic speech in Kenya in 360 and premiered experiences at Tribeca Film Festival, Stereopsia, Future of Storytelling, and more. She has collaborated with GoogleVR, Facebook SparkAR, Inception, and Jaunt. Stephanie has degrees in Directing (Drama) and Human-Computer Interaction (Computer Science) from Carnegie Mellon. She is a member of Phi Beta Kappa, an Andrew Carnegie Society Scholar, and lead research at Yale University's Blended Reality group in 2018. She is the Creative Director of Experiential at Refinery29.
