Brendan Thompson

Brendan has worked as a professional librarian for almost 10 years and in libraries for close to twenty. He started as a student worker at his undergraduate library, North Carolina State's DH Hill Library and matriculated through the university library system, transitioning into an internship at the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the National Institute of Environmental Health Science while pursuing his Masters in Information and Library Science from UNC-Chapel Hill's School of Information and Library Science (SILS). His previous experiences led to positions in private industry including an environmental consulting agency in Boston and a clean energy think-tank in Boulder, CO, Uber Technologies in San Francisco and his current position at Facebook in New York as the Knowledge Management Lead for Marketing Science, where he focuses on capturing institutional knowledge from around the globe using a content management tool and old school librarian organization.
